The message is a woman's voice that sounds like a machine voice. It says,
"The very second you receive this message we want you or your retain attorney to call us back regarding this serious matter at [repeats the phone number twice].
And if we do not hear from you or your attorney (?), we will put lien on your assets including bank account and this case will be downloaded into the court and legal steps will be taken against you.
Thank you and goodbye."
They never identify their organization or explain why they are calling. It is just one long unsubstantiated threat.

I got a call from "Private Number" which I let go to vm. This is the message I later retrieved:
"This message is intended for "Amy (insert my previous married name here). My name is Cindy White. I'm calling regarding some documents that I will bringing to your residence or place of employment tomorrow between 12 and 5 pm. These documents, they do require your signature so, make sure that you have a valid ID with you. If you have any questions concerning this matter you will need to contact the claimant directly at 800-901-5219. And there is also a claim number attached, which is DST-xxx. Now, if you do resolve this matter with that office, make sure they send me a stop order immediately. Amy (old last name), you have been notified."

This guy called me more than once simply to bother me. But he had the wrong name associated with my phone number. I reported his ass to the FBI, FTC, and police. Probably won't do any good. Long story short, he claimed to be from some tech support having nothing to do with any account I have. When I called him on the carpet, he got sarcastic and extremely rude. His name isn't really Dick, but he IS a Dick with a capital "D."

Actually, received a letter today showing company as MBNA and topic as update personal info for mastercard...called the 877-807-8064 number and reached a live person after two robo-prompts....this person wanted additional sensitive information in order to process an account info update (in addition to two security questions) that the letter requested. When I refused to respond the additional sensitive info, another person (Nadene) repeated the requests. Meaningful discussion ended there.

Caller 804-495-8552 apparently called four times between 6 PM and 9 PM on May 13, 2014, refusing to identify themselves. Call identification provided a number only. Subsequent calls refuse to leave any messages on the answering machine.
Our number is listed on the Do Not Call Registry but this apparently has no effect on the unknown caller. Considering reporting to the FCC over violation.
