I also got a call offering me the same thing for 250.00. from the IRS.He wanted me to western union the money to a alex smith in India. I then told him the irs isn't in India he put me on hold so he could give me another persons name for me to send my money.I told him it sounded like fraud. I think scam

I received a call claiming I won $10.000.00 tax exempted in cash, when I followed up, another person gave me whole lot different info. Please do not give out your personal information over the phone for any other reason. TOTALlY SCAM!!!

Got a call from someone that said I was eligible to receive a 10,000 dollar grant, and to call 202-657-6093 to get details. I called and they said it would cost me 250 to activate the grant but I would get 10,250 back. Gave me a number that was supposed to be for the Federal reserve so I could "verify" the grant. Called the number that I was given and when I questioned it they hung up on me. The number they gave was 347-688-4972. Looked up the Fed reserve number and it don't match. At least I wasn't dumb enough to give any SS numbers or other personal numbers.
