I got a call from this number and left a VM in thick Indian accent. When I called back some "officer" Damon Marshall picked up the call and told me he has 10 years of my "Income Tax" papers in front of me (I haven't been in this country for that long to begin with!). He lost my attention then and there. He said I owe $4500 else he is sending sheriff to my work place (He called on Fedreal Holiday not to forget - Jan 20 MLK Jr. Day!). I said send me paper work of what I owe and then we will talk.He said there is no paper work in my case only one year jail and he hung up saying "good luck one year in jail!"
I couldn't stop laughing after he hung up. But when I texted my friends about this Jerk they said this is a huge scam going on and these guys are targeting Indians more or less. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY! IT IS A SCAM AND REPORT TO IRS IF NEEDED. I AM GOING TO REPORT IT TO MY LOCAL POLICE SINCE HE HASN'T STOPPED CALLING ME.

I got the same call yesterday and today got in touch with Damon Marshall about back taxes owed. He told me a Sherrif was coming to arrest me! I am still shaking! Who does this sort of thing?????

Got the identical call same as everybody else. Same story, investigating my taxes for the past 10 years. I was suppose to call the "Case Manager" assigned to me. I told them to send me a letter, and hung up!

I got an exact similar call today from someone today with an indian accent. The caller id showed up as "Private" and he left a voicemail saying his name was John Wright and was calling from investigation bureau in IRS. He asked me to call back the second I receive this message saying it was extremely time sensitive and it was about a discrepancy in my taxes.
If it was really IRS, wouldn't they send me (and also maybe my tax accountant) a letter or something). Did anyone try to call this number back ?

The caller claimed to be from the Internal Revenue Service (even though the call was made on a federal holiday) and requested that I call a number (the same number the call originated from) to speak to "Damon Marshall" of the IRS in regard to an IRS investigation of my tax return and taxes that I supposedly owed.

I got the same call from this Indian man claiming to be from the IRS! I realized it was total BS when he did not use my legal name.
