Another call today 2/10/14 Appears to be some sort of SCAM wherein they call and hang up hoping you call back from the missed call. When you call it's an automated machine attempting to determine if anyone in house if over the age of 50. Suggest not responding as they do not identify who they are along with other obvious reasons. Judging from other info I found on line, this appears to be another one of those Lower Your Credit Card SCAM programs.

209-665-3978 Calls are under the scheme to lower your credit card rates. This is a disconnected number. They attempt to get your credit card number and SS (last 4) and zip code. This is a SCAM operation, do not give out any information unless you have an old card and want to waste their time. Give out bogus zip (near by) and fake last 4 of SS number. Then when they get wise to you, tell them they are a scam and that you notice their number online noted as a Scam.

computerized calling. press 1 if you want to lower your credit card bills. I pressed 1 to see who would answer since I am on the do not call list. A guy named Bill answered. I asked him for his phone number and he said, "we have no call back phone numbers here". So I called him a scammer and warned him not to call me again then hung up.
