Spread the word... My search indicated that this new number, (303) 217-1074 is being provided by a company called, MCI Metro Access Transmission Services whose d/b/a is Verizon Access Transmission Services (AKA: Verizon Business). I have filed complaints with the FTC several times, and did so again after getting 2 calls from this number, but this time, I decided to contact the provider of the number, after getting the full voicemail box notice for "Mike Anderson".
After calling Verizon's regular customer service number, I was directed to the Verizon Unlawful Call Center, which apparently is dedicated to these types of issues (link below). Unfortunately, I was 2 minutes too late (they close at 5pm), but I will definitely try again during regular business hours and suggest you do the same.

Same Shxt, Different Day for these credit card scammers. They keep morphing their phone numbers, so even blocking the ones they call from does not keep up with their nefarious, and illegal, activity. They will not honor the National Do NOT CALL list or the Texas DO NOT CALL list and will not remove my number from their calling list. In essence, they are capable of SUCKING A GOLF BALL THROUGH A GARDEN HOSE!

Actually these are part of the old Card Services scam. The person who owns this # appears to actually be Stephen Hamilton with a company called PacficTel at 310-895-0574 and address 12228 Venice Blfd. #559 Los
Angeles CA 90066. Apparently there have been several compliants filed against this guy before so looks like he is the one. File a complaint with the FCC, the PUC (who governs these autodialers), and your State Attorney General. Fastest way to get this guy shut down

The recorded message gives the option of speaking with a live person, but no option of removal from their calling-list. I choose to take the option of speaking with a person, so that I could better-identify the caller.
This company calls claiming an affiliation with your credit card company and having an offer to reduce your credit card interest rates. When I asked with which credit card company they were affiliated, they could not (or would not) say.
At the end of the call, I told the person that they are not to call this number again. They appeared to comply and said "I've added you to our do not call list." I commented, "You shouldn't have called it in the first place. I'm already on the Wisconsin and Federal 'do not call' lists.". The call ended, then.
I am 100% sure that this company is using a random- or sequential-dialing list and has no direct affiliation with my credit card company. I have never given this particular telephone number to any credit card company.

I have been getting calls from "Card Services" for several years despite being on the Do Not Call Registry, and despite repeated polite requests for them to leave me alone. I finally got fed up.
My phone service will allow me to forward calls originating from specific numbers to another number. I record the originating number, activate Selective Call Forwarding, and send them to 1-888-382-1222. You'll never guess what that is...
Every time they change their number, I just add it to the list.

I said no but i would like my name taken of your call list please...i don't care how nice you talk to this bunch of morons, its always the same thing.

These are not actual debt collectors -- they are grown adult prank phone callers. Every time we've answered and "pressed 9" -- there's never been a serious conversation at the end of the ringing. This time the female I was speaking with said, "Extra" instead of Hello or anything. I said, "Hello, hello?" She asked if I was calling to lower my rates -- I told her that I was trying to get removed from their list and to let them know that to call my home again will constitute as harassment. The person replied, "I'm sleepy (or sleeping, possibly)." I asked, "WHAT!?" And the lady told me she had taken a sleeping pill and was sleepy and someone just handed her the phone and proceeded to ask random strange questions like if I was her "mommy" and other random weirdness before she hung up. Very strange encounter! Really wish they'd stop calling... they do all the time, but here lately it's been much less often.

They called a pay-as-you go cell phone that I have ONLY for emergency contact of a nursing patient. Nobody has EVER been given this number before. I do NOT want any calls unless it is an emergency!
