Same as Sherry...quite obvious the guy was just off the boat. Told him I couldn't understand half of what he was saying. He sent me to a "supervisor" who DEMANDED I pay today. Told him I looked up his scam on the Internet and was "hanging up now". Those guys gotta' hate the Internet.

Just received a strange call: A recorded message says the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to return this call to this number 253-777-3514. When I called the number, the answerer has a thick Indian accent and says they are in Washinton DC. They are obviously in a call center. I asked if this was a call center and the man said I could speak to a supervisor and hung up on me. I called back. This guy told me they called the wrong number, then checked my phone number (I assume from caller ID), name and address (I assume from online). He said his name is Mark Lewis badge number IRM642427 and the IRS has conducted audit on my 2008-2013 taxes. According to Section 101 of some law he quoted, the local county sherriff will come to my address in 45 minutes and take me into custody because I have an outstanding balance including legal other fees totalling $2721.64. I have two options to settle matter. Take legal steps to fight IRS inside courthouse or pay outstanding balance by electronic wire transfer over the phone. If I do not pay now that means that I will have to fight in court. I cannot check with accountant or attorney before making this payment. I told him I will wait for the sheriff.
