I received a call on my cell at 7:40 AM local time from this number. As I did not recognize the number, I did not answer, and they did not leave a message. The number tags to Hillsborough, TX, and I don't know anyone in that area, so I have no doubt this is a scam of some sort.

I hung up quickly when I was informed, "Good news, your recent application for payday loan..." Click on my part. Of course, I have never applied for such a loan.
