I receive tons of calls, from many different numbers, saying I am pre-approved for a payday loan of which I applied for. This has been going on for over 3 years. Funny thing is I didn't apply for any payday loans and am so disgusted how they can get away with this. I only have a cell phone and it makes me angry they allow these creeps to buy your number.
These calls don't ever have a human on the other end. Its all automated and you are never able to speak to a human for all they do is give you the website and some stupid verification code. This particular numbers website is www.wirecashdirect.com. When trying to call the phone number back it is always a disconnected number, not in service etc.
Anyone have a suggestion on how to get rid of these types of calls?

This upsetting automated call from 631-982-9223, falsely, said I applied and was approved for a Payday loan and to hit one to accept and two to reject. When I hit no button, it hung up. Calling the Consumer Protectiin Agenvy and the police.

Calls showing on your phone from the following area codes and numbers are known to be Scammers: 713-893-1051 , 713-931-1792, 210-401-3930, 979-639-7900, 779-400-0010 and 817-400-1316. The false names used have been Justin Park, Steve J. Brown, Erick Johnson, Don Parker, James Parker, Justin Parker and Scott Thomas. They use many e-mails including valoanstexas@aol.com. All of these individuals have committed identify theft against a Federal Credit Union and are scammers. Consumers who respond by telephone to their phony offer are told that in order to receive a loan, they have to pay for either an upfront fee, taxes owed, processing fee, etc., in the form of a MoneyPak or Pre-paid credit card including Vanilla Network cards. Do not pay anything. Please contact http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0076-telemarketing-scams to assist in stopping these fraudsters.
