Claimed my computer IP address was putting out malicious code and he had an Indian accent. Gave his pseudonym name of Frank. I told him I thought he was a liar. He said he could give me a phone number to call to verify that he was legitimate.. 844-323-7728. I said whatever, ok I'll call that number and I hung up. No, I didn't call the number. Microsoft Windows does NOT call people to tell them they have a problem. If you have a problem with your computer you have to call them. They have no idea what's going on with your computer.

Have received 3 calls 01/24/2015 and 6 calls today, 01/26/2015, claiming to be Microsoft. Have had calls of this nature before claiming that your computer is putting out errors and request you purchase their service to troubleshoot and repair the problem on our computer for a fee. This constitutes a sales call. Our number is on the "Do Not Call" list and this information will be reported to the Federal Trade Commission.
