I received a message on my answering machine from Steve Martin. Told us we needed to call him at 424-245-8148. So I called the number and spoke to a Middle Eastern gentleman and told him I received a voicemail message and I am calling him back. He told me his name is Steve Jackson and his ID was 115337 and that I had not paid my taxes for 2010 and 2011. I told him I did paid my taxes and asked him who the claim was against and he told me it was against me. He could not tell me my name but he had my address. Somehow we got disconnected and he called me back. He said I hung up on him and I know I didn't. Then we got disconnected and he called back again. I explained to him I stayed on the line and he hung up. I told him I didn't understanding why he was calling because we never received any documentation on not paying our taxes, and didn't understand why the claim would only be against me and not both my husband and I when we filed jointly. He told me I owed $3,450.19 and later told me was $3,450.94. I asked him who I should write the check out to and he wouldn't answer my question. He told me he answered all my questions and that an Enforcement Action Officer would be coming to my house in the next 45 minutes and he will have all the legal papers and I would be placed in jail if I didn't cooperate. Then my husband arrived him and he ending up hanging up on my again. Well, it's been over an hour and no has come knocking at my door.

Same information as callers above. He said I needed to call him back regarding an enforcement action against me from the US Treasury. Sounded completely bogus so I am not going to call him back.

...but really, Steve Martin from Beverly Hills calling me? Oh and Steve has also developed a Pakistani or Indian accent too..

Said I was going to jail within 20 to 25 minutes because of my back taxes. I played along knowing better. He caught on that I knew better and said to be ready for the police to be at my house. I just laughed at him and he hung up on me! Phone number he called from was 424-245-8148

This man called my mother's phone and left a message that he was from the U.S. Treasury. He said if "you" did not call and talk to him about and outstanding Magistrate/ Grand Jury action that you would be guilty of a felony and be arrested. My mother just got back from the hospital. She suffers from cancer and had a horrible case of the flu. This greatly upset her. I told her it was a scam. This guy should be thrown in jail.
