i have received a call this morning stating that i owe some loan and now i was going to get arrested if i did not pay. i have no credit cards for same reason dont have good credit. i asked questions and he was not able to provide any information and kept hanging up on me so i called back and it is scary that he does have my home address and work address and that sherrifs are to be here in 2 hours to arrest me. i asked how was that possible if i do not have any warrents. all he stated is that they are in N.Y.. i will report this to policy station.

Provided my name and the last 4 digits of my Social Security number, and my employer name. Said I had a court hearing that day. Said he was from the "Sheriff's Department" and my social had been linked to a "fraud case". When I called back, I asked what this was regarding and he wouldn't provide any info. I would not give him any info, but he knew my address. Strongly feel this is a scam to get me to pay money on a debt I do not have. When I made it clear I would not talk to him without details of why he was calling, he hung up. FYI, call came from NY.
