I have received numerous calls to my home and work number threatening to put me in jail within 15 days and make me pay up to $8000.00 if I don't pay on some loan/debt I never got/obtained and call the number back. This was after requesting a payday loan whcih is almost paid back with no issues.

I recived an e-mail saying that I will be prosecuted by the government for check fraud , EFT fraud etc by the government and to call 305-760-4534 and settle. The e-mail was sent by Viola Schaffer.
I think this is a scam.

Provided my name and the last 4 digits of my Social Security number, and my employer name. Said I had a court hearing that day. Said he was from the "Sheriff's Department" and my social had been linked to a "fraud case". When I called back, I asked what this was regarding and he wouldn't provide any info. I would not give him any info, but he knew my address. Strongly feel this is a scam to get me to pay money on a debt I do not have. When I made it clear I would not talk to him without details of why he was calling, he hung up. FYI, call came from NY.

The caller would not give their first name or company information or address. Then they asked did I bank with Suntrust. Please watch out for these people. Yet another scam to get the working taxpayers money.
