Update: the Indian Guy (he said his name was Jerry Taylor) actually called me back and asked if if I called Attorney General Frank Murphy yet. I pointed out that Schneiderman is NY Attorney General, and this Indian guy was still asking me if I called Frank Murphy yet. Also, lots of echo on the call, like from a bad call center.

I keep getting calls from this number. Guy with a thick Indian accent who claimed there is some lawsuit against me or something. When the guy called today I picked up (already checked the phone number), so I asked him for Frank Murphy's Bar ID number. He kept saying he was not authorized to give it out, but eventually he told me it was NY9361 and that Frank Murphy was the Attorney General (!) and that if I thought his call was a scam, I should just wait until Attorney General Frank Murphy sends the sheriff out to arrest me (I'm not even in New York). Too funny - I started laughing and he hung-up on me. Has anyone contacted the NY State Bar yet about this scammer?

I got a call just like this person has been described but using a different phone number 646-937-9351...He said his name was Frank Murphy and that it was urgent that myself or my attorney get back in touch with him. It was time sensitive and that if he didn't hear from me that he wished me good luck with what happens next. He also had a thick accent.
