My husband was sleeping and woke up to receive a voicemail from this number claiming to be the irs saying they were investigating him for Fraud and would be seeking legal action if he did not return the call by today i told him not to worry about it because people use fake occupations etc to get money i myself had someone claim to be a cop to get money so i already know the lengths individuals will go. Glad he wasnt the only one getting this call!

IRS Phone Scam. I didn't buy into it and didn't return the call. I did reverse look up by latitude and longitude for location. It comes from the Palmdale California Sheriffs Station. In other words an inmate has a cell phone. I just thought that everyone should know.

Heavy handed call to collect for tax fraud now or meet at court house, if hang up would go into irs files. said 2 notifications were sent by sherif needing signature, but no notification left by anyone. very strange and disturbing

Called saying that he was with the IRS and that I needed to call or have my attorney call back immediately upon receiving the message. It's a scam and no I didn't return the call. Since when does the IRS use Verizon wireless. Trying to get the location of the call and I will comment if I find it.

"Peter" just called me as well from 661-434-0959. Said he was from the IRS and used my maiden name which I haven't used since 2013. First tip off was the name obviously because the IRS would have my married name. Asked if I had an attorney because I was being charged with tax fraud by the IRS. I enjoy a good laugh so I said "no but please explain the type of tax fraud to me" and he said something quickly and hung up. I guess he didn't have an explanation? Hahaha
