Had an ad on Craigslist for a Habersham buffet. Within hours of posting I got a text that reads: "Do you still have your Habersham? I'm interested in buying it and let me know it's present condition and the reason why you are selling it if you don't mind me asking" I replied. Then got this text: "Yes, am ok with the condition. I will arrange for a pick up agent that will do the pick up, inspection because am very busy at work. I will be making the payment via paypal account. Kindly get back to me with your paypal email address so that I can make the payment for you" I then realized it was a scam and blocked their number on my phone.

Had a car listed on craigslist. Within minutes of posting I got a text from 678-805-6094 saying "I'm Courtney. I found it odd since I had given the conditions and the reason in my craiglist posting. I replied. Then got this text: "Yes, am ok with the condition. Yeah right ... smells like a scam to me ... after finding your comments on this site, I know it is a scam. Thanks for your help!

cortney Williams sent a text about our listing on cl. saying that she can only pay via PayPal and was very pushy about getting an invoice so she could pay right away. offered to include shipping, because she was on at navy camp, she arranged the shipping and wanted us to get a money order ready and wanted us to call and get the movers set up before the PayPal cleared. then after we assured her that we would let her know when it cleared, 4 hours later I received an email saying that her PayPal had cleared and I needed to check my spam folder for my notification. the PayPal was not even close to being cleared.

Had ad listed on Craigslist to sell furniture. Within hour of posting ad I Received text from this number by person claiming to be named Courtney. S/he offered to purchase without seeing furniture in person. S/he Offered to pay via paypal. Wanted my email for paypal. Asked questions that seemed genuine. But would not speak to me on phone claiming too busy at work. Didn't seem right. I elected to reject offer. Based on this site, it appears to be scam.
