Tried to claim we were facing a grand jury for past due taxes.

Firstly, the IRS never makes first contact over the phone. If such a situation occurs, initial contact is always made in person, with a court summons or search/arrest warrant in hand.

Secondly, these scams are becoming so common place, I can't fathom that they can seriously still be effective in any way.

Earn money in an honest fashion, tool bag.
