When I answered the phone, an automated message stated a Fraud Investigation had been opened for me and to press 1 to speak with someone. When I pressed it, a live person asked me how she could help me as if I called her. She continued to ask me questions about my identity - my last & first name, the last 4 of my SSN, & my DOB. Then she said they were not investigating fraud, but a COLLECTION agency trying to collect on a payday loan from July 2013 in the amount of $1728.00. I told her I did not have such a debt, she gave me the routing # for my bank & asked me how I wanted to set up a payment. She couldn't tell me when it was initiated or where-she just couldn't give ME anymore information but was trying to get me to blindly set up payments for a debt i don't owe. I told her I was not paying anything so she said it was going to be turned over to the 'States Attorney' which made no sense. So I was belligerent & asked her to tell me the amount again and she hung up. I called BACK the # on the caller ID and the SAME person answered. I told her she hung up on me & asked for the amount again. She said "It was 17-something" and she sounded a lot less authoritative since she realized she was caught. SCAM. Be careful!! She only gave me information that is public record. If I had believed her, she would have gotten my bank account NUMBER to do who knows what with it.

#1. No company can have you arrested for an outstanding balance! Ever! Only the IRS can jail you for not paying taxes.
#2. I did use a payday loan years ago, and I think that they somehow can get our information. I mean, this is my cell number!
#3. How the heck am I to travel all the way to Texas today when I live in Maryland? Or hire a lawyer THE SAME DAY WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS?
Don't call this number back; block them. Am I to really believe that they will threaten me and then end the call with "Have a nice day!" Hope these people rot in hell.

This company said I took out a payday loan a year ago and funds were placed in a bank I never heard of. The caller couldn't give me the name of the company I supposedly took a loan from, and threatened me with pressesing charges and having me arrested. They had most of my information correct but had some major errors in others. This seems to be a scam to get money. The number is from Texas.
