Trying to rent property in Austin Tx. Searched the phone # and found several sites with property scam warnings. Wants the down payment for rent sent from Walmart. Almost got me but I felt something was off when I spoke to him on the phone.

Same number calling about RE listings on Trulia.com for Colorado. Offered a foreclosed home from Dec to be rented for $900/month. Checked with RE agent and house was FC 12/17/14. Tipoff was no refirgerator.

Responded to an ad for a house rental in FL thru Zillow. He says he was renting his house in FL because he was transferred to MD to do missionary work,but yet is calling from this SC number. Very persistent caller! Do not fall prey!

What he is doing is not localy illegal and cannot be Prosecuted by local athorities, But is a felony if they could ever get enough civil reports of fraud If you send him money you did it willingly and would halfto take them to small claims if you ever find who it really is.

If you are looking for houses for rent in Austin and ran across a listing for 1609 Eva St, 78704, it's a total scam. Dude could barely speak English and gave me a zillion reasons why the house looked occupied and why I couldn't go see it. But he was real eager to talk money and how fast I could send it. The email came from williamsongreatunion2@outlook.com. Just toss it!
