Caller had a heavy accent. The story with the "government", "treasury" and all else was just the same as reported (including arrest in 45 minutes!). Just called twice in 10 minutes and left the same voice message each time (first time I didn't pick and he left a message, by the time he called again, I had the number blocked and again an identical message was left). Just another Scam.

I came back home this morning and my Wife was on the phone with the I.R.S saying some guy with a heavy Indian accent from The U.S Treasury Department said that she owed 4grand, And if she didn't pay in 45 minutes the police would be here to arrest her. She just spoke with the I.R.S just yesterday and they didn't say anything about us owing any money to anyone. This is MOST DEFINITELY A SCAM!

Left me a voice message from a hospital stating that I have an appointment in two days. The hospital did not know anything about my appointment (that was correct as I did not have an appointment with the hospital).

When I dialed the caller ID number, I got a person telling me that the IRS has an arrest warrant for me and that I must immediately pay them with a credit card.

I know, from personal experience, that the IRS contacts you by snail mail to discuss tax matters. I'm pretty certain that they could not arrest me without some kind of court proceedings. THIS IS A SCAM.

BTW, The IRS's process for reporting this scam is so convoluted (nothing but voice messages and multiple types of IRS forms to fill out) that I gave up on reporting this number to them.

Received call a few minutes ago. Caller ID showed # (904) 410-6014 Florida.

A recording of a man with a heavy accent (India or elsewhere in the Middle East). The recorded voice said that this call was a second request for me to contact him at the same number that was in the caller ID. He said that legal action by the Federal Government & Treasury Department was being taken against me and I had to call to get it settled. Never in the message did he state my name, address or anything.

Wanting to let some steam off, I called the number back and a live person answered "Treasury Department", again with a heavy accent. I ripped him a new a-hole and he started right back at me.

This is a big time scam of some sorts, probably to coax people into sending them money after they try and convince you that you owe.
