A caller called and left a message with no name of company but to call back immediately to resolve an IRS investigation with local police. When I called back a man said he was from a criminal investigation company, asked if I had received any warrants for my arrest for fraud, asked if I lived at two addresses that were not mine.He said are you XX, I said no and he said have a great life.
Clearly this is a fraud. Startling however.

It was a recording that said that a warrant has been issued for my arrest an that I needed to call them back. I called back and it was a recording saying to leave my contact information? It was a New York phone number. I am sure it is a scam but it was kind of unsettling.

They called three times with no time between, and I missed the calls. Called to find out who was calling and the man who answered said that he was calling to tell me that the police were on the way to my address which he read off and it was correct; he then said I had committed fraud in regards to income taxes between 2004 and 2008. This is untrue and I said so . He said I had been notified on Sept 24; I was not notified. Called lawyers. Seems to be a fraud on their part.
