Identified himself as Chief Investigating Officer and indicated that the IRS was filing a criminal charges against me for witholding funds. Indicated that all my assets would be frozen within 45 minutes.

Told me I owed back taxes with fines. When I questioned him further he told me that the sheriff was coming to arrest me ant that my assets will now be frozen and hung up.

Received this call supposedly from IRS requesting for a call back. Sounded like a scam. Is this number a valid IRS number?

They call early morning and say that you have tax issues, when I asked why I did not get any mail and got a phone call after filings tax for 20+ years the guy just hung up

He, Adam Spencer, called and claimed himself as a chief officer of CI at IRS. He got a strong Indian accent(or Middle eastern accent) and he said IRS is suing me and asked if if I got a lawyer. Since it did not make any sense, I asked further questions to identify him, he yelled, and became hostile. He was also not able to answer any of these questions I asked, but stated the police officer was coming to get me. What a jerk! My husband called IRS and they said he was scam. We reported him to IRS.
