I have gotten the same type of call. I aparently defrauded on a padyday advance loan or something. after listening to the message several time, (thick indian accent and all) I was able to make out the company's name as American Law Division and the person to contact was Chad Miller. I have googled their number 310-359-0428 and have found many sites like this one, and all define them as a scammer, but no one has said how they finally got them to stop calling. That is what I would like to see most, is how to get them to stop.

I have no physical address to direct a letter of request to stop calling home and work and have only been able to leave a voicemail making my request. It's amazing what how easily someone can perform these phony collection acts and potentially cost you your job.

He blocked the phone number this week. I received a call last week from 206-855-5350 (landline from Bainbridge Island, WA unlisted) – claiming to be William Walter from US Investigation Bureau representing EME Marketing in regards of legal complaint # AL0786512—Check Fraud
Mr Walter has a thick “Indonesian” accent citing that I made a payday loan on or about 6/3/2009 and this loan is in collection. Mr Walter indicated that I was about to be sued and or arrested over the supposed debt. He provided a partial bank account number -drawn off of Bank of America. Although I do have an account there he could not supply me with the complete number. He stated that $390 was deposited in this account on 6/3/2009. Upon review of this account no such deposit was made. However there was a deposit of $200 from Salaryfast.com. I called the phone number indicated on the transaction and spoke with the representative named Bruce. He informed me that the account was paid in full on 12/11/2009 and also that several of their customers have received similar threats. That this was a huge scam and not to pay this extortion.
Mr Walter has also made contact with my daugher issueing the same threat towards here with the same threat.
Any idea on how we stop this individual?

They listing my social security number even though it was right I told him it was not mine called him a few choice names and told him I was calling the FBI and then hung-up; he then called my daughter and preceeded to threaten her saying I defrauded a finance company and she was going to be sued also and wished her good luck as this matter unfolds on us and have a blessed day the real strange thing when I first started getting these call's it started as a Law dept. in Florida and then a Affadavit processsing company in New York and know American Law Divison in California and none of these places will send me this so called information they have the one person said they sent it in a e-mail but I never received that of course the e-mail he listed wasn't even mine!! can you please help me this has been going on since Oct. of 2009 I didn't hear from them again until Jan. of this year the call's had been non-stop up until 2-week's ago when I thought by ignoring them worked and I got rid of them know they are calling again!!! I hope you can help!thank-you

I received a call from Eric Foster stating that he is lawyer and I owe money on some payday loan that is in default. He needed my lawyer's number because they are filing a case against me in court. I never received a payday loan, so I know that this is B.S. I asked him for a physical address and he gave me "515 Broadway Street 11th floor. New York, New York 10036". No surprise that this is a fake address! So far I've spoken with the following individuals:

Yes, they are all fake names.
I told them to send me documentation on my "case"...still waiting! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!!!!
