they are robo calls so your number is probably in a database. ignore and dont call back. once you answer them they will continue to call so they can intimidate you into paying for some payday loan that you do not owe. i have reported to FTC but they say to ignore because they are scammers.

I just received a call from 866-837-8515. It was an automated system calling from Check Systems telling me to press one. so I did and it just hung up so I called them back. I told them I had just received a call from this number. He looked my number up cause they have caller id. He asked if I knew "brother's name" I told him yes that is my brother. He then told me about some bad checks and blah, blah, blah. I cut him off and told him I do not have a relationship with brother and his bad debt has nothing to do with me and to not call me again. He proceeded to talk over me telling me, "yes it does involve you because brother used you as a reference". This is not the first time this has happened and I am sure it won't be the last. I had fun with the other company that tried harassing me for my brother's debt. They were over seas and had an exchange in Carolina so I kept calling them back on their dime and harassing them. After three days they left me alone. Let us see if this company has the balls to continue to harass me... I am a paralegal and work for a law firm. I know the law.

Please file your complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (877) 382-4357 and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (885) 411-2372. You should also contact your State Attorney General (800) 222-4444. They will not investigate until there are complaints filed nationwide! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO! SCAMMERS!!

CALLED FROM 585-730-6403 CLAIMED TO BE INVESTIGATORS AND THAT IF I DNT CALL THEY R GOING TO TAKE ME TO COURT ! (LOL) THEY R A TACKY COLLECTION AGENCY USING SCARE TACTICS AND ALIAS NAMES !! BELIEVE THAT THE NAMES THEY GIVE R ALIAS NAMES CUZ THEIR REAL NAMES DONT WANT A LAWSUIT.. THEY R A COLLECTION AGENCY THAT BUYS OLD DEBT AND COLLECTS ON IT, YOU CANNOT, I REPEAT, CANNOT GO TO JAIL FOR PAYDAY LOAN NOR COURT BY A COLLECTION AGENCY !!!! MARK MY WORDS . DONT LET THESE PPL SCARE YOU , THEY JUST HARRASS YOU UNTIL U GIVE IN, AND HAVE OTHER PEOPLE CALL YOU JUST SO YOU CAN HEAR ANOTHER VOICE.. IT IS THEIR TALK OFF !! Harrasing me about a pay day loan that I paid 2 years ago from Ace Cash Express. Everything about the phone call was suspicious. The fax number she gave me was 855-218-8598. Totally different area code from the # 585-730-6091 that she called from. There is no recording stating that is a company number from check systems, and her voice mail is just a beep. When I asked for proof of the documents that she was stating that I owed, her whole attitude changed, stating that she didnt know if they could send anything out but would put a request in for it, and when I asked for it to be faxed to me, again I dont know if that can be done, I will put a request in for it. You would think if I indeed owed them they would send me something. But nothing. This isnt the first time I have had this happen with Ace Cash Express. For the last 3 years around tax season I get calls, from different people claiming im going to jail for bank fraud. I DONT OWE ANYTHING TO ACE CASH EXPRESS.
