Collection agency, targeting victims about supposed non-payment of really old loans, like 20 years??! Claims to be D2 (or B2) Management. Robo-call until the computer thinks it has reached a real person, then a human being takes over.. Who falls for this?

She said she was following up on our copier (which had just been delivered a week before) and asked for a number on it. I told her I couldn't find what number she wanted so she asked what the model was and then asked for the brand. When I asked where she was calling from she hung up.

I got a call from "Premier Credit" indicating that they wanted to verify employment for one of our employees so that they could garnish their wages for the "US Dept. of Education" I tried calling back and was put on hold as all of their agents were busy. Really - they should try harder than that! If there is to be a garnishment on wages, they have to do so in writing. A phone call won't do!

This call comes fromThe Law Offices of Paul J. Coleman. They are a 3rd party or scavenger collection agency. Marc Smith, says he is the director and runs The Law Offices of Paul J. Coleman. Marc smith and Paul J Coleman use practices that are prohibited by the FTC. They call more then once a day, using langauge that is harassing, oppressing, threatening and abusive, they are a third or forth party collector and do not supply any proof when asked of validation of debt. When the debt is past the statue of limitation they say it has been through abritration which keeps it alive. When you tell them you have proof that the debt was paid in full they will not except it and continue to threaten. They leave voice messages that take up memory on the machine, yelling into the phone and repeating the same words over and over again. Mr. Marc Smith did that to me. I offered proof that I did not owe the debt, he claimed that he represented Wells Fargo, I called Wells Fargo and they denied that he represented them and said they did not have an account listed with the account number he provided. Paul J Coleman's company would not provide any proof that the debt was owed. Michael Feinstein tries to force and manipulate you into giving him a post dated check of any amount promising he will remove the debt as soon as you do. The amount they usually want is above 2 thousand dollars.

This Company uses threats of harm; try to make you believe you have committed a crime and will be in big trouble if it goes to court. They use language that is not appropriate by the rules of the FTC and repeatedly use the telephone to annoy you.

Debt collectors may not use any false or misleading statements when collecting a debt. The Law Offices of Paul J. Coleman falsely imply that
falsely who they really represent, they falsely imply that you have committed a crime; The misrepresent the amount of your debt; indicate that papers being sent to you are legal forms when they are not and the letter they do send is not a legal form.

If you are contacted by this company, call the FTC only communicate with them through mail and demand full and complete disclosure and proof through receipts, and all documents that you owe the debt. Never tell them you owe the debt or imply you can't remember. Call an attorney when the break these infractions and file suit. You can look up on line the many suits and commentsl, experience other people have had with these bottom feeders.
