I was told I was a prime suspect in a case and they needed my attorney information. I asked what I what suspected of and was told "You were not aware of this?" I told them they better not call me again and that I had no idea what kind of crap they were trying to pull but they better not call me again...

This is a very common scam, check the internet for many stories like this one. Someone (usually with a foreign accent) will call and threaten you with a "lawsuit" for failure to repay a loan. They offer to help - if you send money and personal information to avoid the suit. IT IS A SCAM. Many of these companies obtain personal data from either online loan applications or other sites. I have been called twice, two different numbers and fake companies (one a lawfirm, the other some justice office).. both times I acknowledged that I knew that it was a scam and that the US Attorney General's office has been notified and in both cases, the caller hung up. Under no circumtsances, would a person be served with a lawsuit from the phone. This is ridiculously bogus and a scare tactic.

Did some research and found out the owner of the phone number is named David Levy and the address for the phone is a house that is on quick sale in California. The address is 26815 Wyatte Lane, Stevenson Ranch CA 91381.

The number on caller Id shows up as 0000. The last time they called I told them that I reported them to the sheriff and different agencys in Califorina. I am in the process of changing all my banking information because they had this information. Which I have reported them to BBB because they represented themselves a representative of the state of California.I have tried to find them on CA.gov site to and have not been able to find them. I hope that the state of California starts looking into this and finds them. They are taking lots of money from people. Just trying to figure out how they ga=ot all my information.

I have been on the phone with individuals from this number and have actually filed a police report on them. SO far they have called my cell asking to confirm my social, family names etc. Which they can't seem to get anything exactly right. They have called first claiming that I had committed bank fraud and I was going to jail, they threatened to seize my bank funds etc. I immediately contacted the police and filed a report. But we are going on a year later now and now I just bait them for more information like I was instructed. So far they have repeatedly called again and claimed to by Cyber Crime Prevention and I am being investigated for cyber fraud, then they called and said that I committed Bank Fraud again, and then they called and said they are with Crime Prevention. George Matthews is to be my point of contact and his number is 818-538-9546. If I call the number back they say he works there but now no one can speak to me until my attorney calls. They even went so far as to give me case number MS30312. This number is located in California and there are cell sites all over in Florida and other states. They are a Metro PCS affiliate so far this is all I know. It is a little concerning to me that someone can call from out of the country and claim this type of knowledge and be threatening US citizens. Something needs to be done immediately.
