Called our mainline asking for *random name* that we don't employ.
The call was answered by one of our non-American employees and the caller decided to imitate her accent...poorly...for the duration of the call.
After being advised that we didn't have anyone working for us by *made up name* they asked for the company owner.
When our non-American employee asked for the callers name and company before she transferred, they advised, "That's alright," in another mocking imitation accent and hung up.
What sort of shyster company hires someone like that to represent them!?!

If you answer the call from phone number 205-561-2454 an automated recording begins with an 'alarming' message quoting the FBI's Statistics with Percentages of Crime in your area. Then it 'calmly' offers you 'security' if you'll let them place a sign in your yard for safety in your neighborhood. The recipient is then prompted to "press 1' on the keypad for more information. If you do press '1' the call transfers to a live Representative. If you do not take the call then, but - instead - place a 'call-back' to the number 205-561-2454 you will get a recorded message prompting you to "press any number on your keypad if you do not want to receive these calls". FYI: You will not reach a live Representative so that you could tell them not to call you. And PLEASE BEWARE: DON'T follow the prompt to "press ANY number on your phone dial pad" -- as an FCC Rep told me -- it will only add your phone number to call lists being sold to more scammers & telemarketers and you will get more unknown & unwanted callers! WindStream, who owns this phone number, told me the only way to stop calls from 205-561-2454 is to contact WindStream (at 1-877-340-2600, ext. 7733) and request that they notify 'their customer' with your Do Not Call phone number. You should also file a complaint with the FCC, the FTC, and, the State of Alabama's Attorney General's Office; you can find the phone numbers and web-sites to all of these via the Internet.

The caller claimed that I had called and asked about Medicare providers. Since I had not made such a call I expressed doubt. He did agree that my phone number was probably in a group purchased by his organization and they just make the calls.
It appeared to be a robocall - whens the phone range I answered and there was several seconds before his voice asked question - suggesting to me that it was that cal was transferred to a switchboard.

This number called my landline phone number today. It's a local number, but the caller ID didn't identify who it was with a name and they didn't leave a message. Well, I've got news for them! I will NOT answer phone calls from numbers I don't know!! They can leave a message and if they can't leave a message then it must not be that important!! And what is the use in calling someone 4 times in a row like that? If the person didn't answer the phone the first time then they're not going to answer it the other times either!!!I will be purchasing a cordless phone that has a call blocker on it and blocking this nuisance number ASAP!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!
