OK here is how it happened today, lets have fun. I highly recommend screwing with these scammers heads, also please do call every agency you can, if they get enough complaints they will act against these scammers. This will be a two parter because as I tried posting it they said it was too long I spoke to the first gentleman and he did the same thing as the others here. He kept just asking for my information and my CC#. I said to him "this is a really good deal", I intentionally acted excited. I could tell he thought he was going to complete the scam. I said "I really want to do this, BUT I need to make sure this isn't some sort of scam." His whole attitude changed. He pressed me hard for my CC#. I had to basically yell at this man to make him stop. I asked him "How can you give away these $100 card, What reason are you giving them away?, What is the name of your company and where is it located?" After about 30 minutes of this merry-go-round, he finally started to answer questions. The name of his company is Reward Centre (not er like we do in the U.S.) Yes there are a few that use re but those are usually owned by a European and it's rare. I pointed that out to him and noted to him that India was a British colony. He was now pretty flustered, but he answered my question about if the company had a web site, all the while he is still asking for my CC#. He finally said there website was "www.membership.com". He didn't know I was on my computer when I called. I typed it in and sure enough there's no such website. I even gave him an out by saying "did you make a mistake was it .net" He hung up. I laughed, (NO lol here, texting is destroying the English language).I didn't let it end there, I called back! I spoke to another guy who was better than the first in asking for my CC#, again I had to almost yell at him to get a word in., as he congratulated me on "winning" this card. I asked to speak with a manager, which I got after a few "can I have your CC# to get this processed'"

A fellow named George alleges to be from a construction company named "Presidential" but refuses to give any other identifying information. No such company appears to exist and he refused to give a contractor license number, but offered to send someone to show it. When asked to put me on his Do Not Call list he became belligerent and abusive.

George is a pushy asshole. Told him I was busy and he griped about me answering the phone and talking "smack" if I was busy. I told him he was an asshole and hung up. He called back a few minutes later and recited my address and said "remember that!" I filed a police report regarding his threatening manner. Policeman said he will follow up on this-even on his own time

Called saying he was from the government reclaims unit and that they were repaying 5248 dollars that I had overpaid on my utilities bills. He asked for all kinds of information before asking for bank details, something the government would never do over the phone. Very dodgy.

The next guy said "hello I am the regional manager, how can I help you?" I explained how the first gentleman ultimately hung up on me, and now I was suspicious if this was a real offer. He went on to say they have been in business for 40 years etc, that they record all there calls to make sure there is no fraud. He then asked me for my CC#, I almost fell out of my chair. I asked if they had a website and he said "no we don't need one." I explained the first guy said there was. I ended up tongue tying this guy, so all he could do is asking for my CC#. I explained I thought this was a scam and he hung up. I could have left it at that but I just had to mess with these guys one more time. I called back and had the obvious same experience, this time I asked for a supervisor. I got one. "Hello my name is George i am the head supervisor" or what ever. It was the FIRST guy I spoke with in the first place! I literally laughed out loud at this guy. He didn't even realize who I was. I went off on him saying I am calling mu sheriff's office, the FBI, they CIA, (because FBI can only operate in the U.S. unless they are with a law enforcement agency of another country, while the CIA can go anywhere. He started to panic. I could here him softly and quickly to the others there, who were speaking in Indian now. I finally said I am calling homeland security and I am quite sure someone will be coming to visit them very soon to shut down your scamming! They now were all speaking and yelling at each other in Indian. I just hung up and laughed for a good 10 minutes. So not give these people anything they are going to scam you.
