I have been contacted repeadity from 0421454460 & 0469293669 (same person) for some items I'm selling on gumtree.
Here's the story, I met this guy once & he just seemed strange.. Sold the items he wanted an moved on. I save all numbers of buyers in my phone incase they ever have any complaints. I delete them after a few months. The night I met & he pick up the goods, we began texting about the goods. He then randomly asked "Would you like to go out with me", after my rejection, he said "Would you like to come to my resturent" which I also rejected as I'm only a 20yo girl it's a little strange.. He then further asked "Do you have a bf". I stopped replying as these are just inappropriate questions. I was honestly fearing for my safety. He's now trying to say he would like to purchase more so we can meet up again, this time he is calling me on different mobile numbers about 5-10 times a day and texting twice a day or so.. Thank goodness I NEVER arrive people to pick up items from my house.
In addition, I've also been scammed over $650 after trying to purchase firstly a Nintendo 64 console & then 2 iPhones all from different users. It was devastating. It's a lot of money for a 20yo..
Fellow gumtree users, please be careful. There are some really strange people out there! Keep safe!
