Called me to tell me that I owe taxes for the last 6 years and that there was going to be a summons issued for me to appear in court and a subsequent warrant for my arrest because they tried to send me a certified letter the last two days and no one was home. I started questioning the validity of the time frame - 6 yrs. of back taxes and they are just now trying to address the situation with sending me two certified letters and because I was home they were going to sue me on behalf of the IRS. I\'ve been audited before and they sent numerous letters over a 1-2 month span that were NOT certified. And that was just to meet with an IRS representative to go over irregularities on 1 tax return. Shady business going on.

She calls with the owners name saying she several job opportunities. This time I didn't notice that her number has a 360 area code (we are in LA) so I put her on hold to get the owner. Then I realized who it was and it is a telemarketer, not 5 seconds I picked up the call to tell her not to call her anymore and she had already hung up. Why even bother calling if you are gonna hang up the second I put you on hold! What's the point?? STOP CALLING US! THE OWNER NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE!

Female with accent (India?) called my business line and stated she was with Global Marketing. She stated they are the ones who do maintenance for our "photo copy machine." She told (not asked) me to retrieve the serial number from the "photo copy machine" and she would hold while I went to retrieve it. Wanting to have a little fun with her, I asked her which photo copy machine's serial number in the office that she wanted. But, she stuck to her script. I asked her if she was sure to have called the correct number and she repeated my business's name. Hmmm, I have three printers and I do all the maintenance (replace them when the go down), so I told her that I would have to have the boss call her back. Before I could finish the sentence, she disconnected the call.
Scary thing is, she called a private investigator and the name of the business makes it very clear as to what type of profession I am in. The only reason I can think of as to why they are asking for serial numbers would be to somehow gain remote access to the machine. Nowadays, most printers have internal memory that is stored in the printer. So everything you print or copy is saved in the memory of the printer. They already know the business name and address, all they need is your "photo copy machine's" serial number to see if its a copier that saves information to the memory and if it can be remotely accessed either by being in the proximity of the machine or via the internet.
Hopefully the receptionist at a large company (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Mayo, hospitals, CSX, etc. don't fall for this as they would be the ones with the type of equipment that would have sensitive information stored on their copiers.

I received a call from #877- 730 - 9216, and this lady told me I had been a finalist in some sweepstakes.First thing I asked her was ” What sweepstakes?!” I knew right at that moment that they were about to throw some bull, because I hadn’t entered any sweepstakes. This lady was talking super fast I could barely understand her. She sounded just like a born hustler. She started telling me about magazine’s I would receive for free and a diamond watch. As soon as she repeated my address to me and it was correct I lied to her and gave her a fake address. Afterwards she transferred me to her manager and I was like fuck this so I just clicked . They called me back like 10 MORE Times!!!!!!! If they call me one more time I as seriously going to snap on their asses.“ Remember, that if they ever call you say “PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!”
