I got a call from the same number claiming themselves to be Carlson law firm saying i owed a payday loan company money. I told then i had never taken out a loan over the internet.. they repeated every but of info they had on me including my bank account numbers, social, address, etc which really scared me.. i googled the law firm they were claiming to be and called them and they told me to hang up on them they are scammers.. so i gave the indians a call back and told them i reported them and they got p-$sed and cussed me and hung up. A few days later they hacked into my voicemail and changed my voicemail greeting.. they gave my name, soci ereal, checking acct number, address, and said i was a prostitute and to come to my house for services.. and to deposit money in my acct for the services at my bank which they gave out.. i dont know how they mamaged tp hack my voicemail or why they would do that but its scary. They need to be stopped!

First I get a call from 7144415860. I didnt know the number so I let it go to voice mail. I got a barely understandable voice mail from a so called lawyer by the name of charlie brown. I called the number back and got a different lawyer Alex something. He had my social and my place of work. He said the state police were going to arrest me tomorrow morning at my job. He was rude, cursing, and told me to shut up. When I tried to ask him a question he said I dont work for you so im not going to tell you anything. Then he tried to get more info from me at which point I said I didn't feel comfortable telling him any of this info. He blew up on me one more time, made a threat, then hung up.

message on our work's automated system says it's Julian Marshall with some law firm (can't understand thick accent) wanting Amanda Hunter (never worked here, don't know her) to call him back with her Social Security number or he will start some legal action against her for 3 things (I could only understand something about check fraud). These foreigners KEEP calling from Out Of Area usually and WON'T STOP CALLING no matter what we tell them because they don't understand English AT ALL. Year after year they keep calling asking for Amanda. HOW CAN WE GET THEM TO STOP CALLING OUR WORK because it's passed harrassment!

Received a call this morning at my job from someone who left the name Jack Smith, they contacted my office and got the front desk receptionist, she informed me that Jack Smith called before I made it to work and that he refused to leave a vm when she tried to transfer him to my vm. I called the number back and the person answered the phone stating they were a law firm and I informed her at that time to tell Jack Smith not to contact my work number again. She claims she took my name and that she would relay the message. He only told the receptionist that it was regarding a legal matter, I have no idea what the call is about. I have received calls before from a man with an Indian accent who informed me that something bad was going to happen to me if I didn't call them back right away. When I told him that something bad would happen to him if he continued to call me he got a little alarmed and hung up.

4/13/2009 - 12:33pm. I rec'd a call from 402-593-7107. It is a collection company / law firm. Their call back number is 866-655-5826. It is typical ship trace practices that collection companies / law firms get copies of your old bills, look up companies you have done business with in the past AND call you (leaving messages) posing as those companies. Collection companies contact your phone service provider through skip tracing and get lists of phone numbers you call ILLEGALLY and start calling those numbers. If anyone admits to knowing you they call YOU posing as that person. They will call as Omaha Steak, your cell phone provider, cable company or your neighbor. I have had collection companies and law firms contact me posing a police officers (which is highly illegal), court employees and hospital personnel.
My neighbors credit card company skipped traced all the neighbors in my apartment complex, found out our cell phone company, illegally got a copy of our phone bills, called our families/friends asking if they knew my neighbor and asked that he call the credit card company. My friends, family and co workers were getting made at me that they were getting harassing calls for a neighbor I don;t know. Once they have a good lead your information get's updated in EVERY collection companies computers. If you change your number the cell phone providers keep giving STRANGERS your cell phone information. I have file numerous complaints with Consumer Credit Departments at each State Baking Department. No one cares.
