They called saying I have three allegations against my ssn number and they would file papers against me and threatened my job and said the police would pick me up so when I said fax all the paper work to my attorney they said they cant do that so when I said they are full of bs he got very belligerent and said if I dont pay either 8740 or a one time payment of 743 dollars I will be going to court

This so called attorney was reading from a script. I interrupted by saying I cannot take personal calls at work. He started the script again. I told him that if he continues, it could be construed as harassment and a violation of the FDCPA. He replied, "I don't care." I said this call will be documented and reported to the FTC, and hung up on him. He called back. I told him this is harassment and if he called back I would report him to the police.
