This company calls you repeatedly telling you that you haven't claimed your local Google listing. They will call any phone number you have from an automatic dialer. They are LocalVerification.com, address: 1579 N Main Ste 110, Cedar City UT 84721. They also have a Skype phone number of 949-910-1542. internet address is support@localverification.com. Send them an email, with ALL your phone numbers and ask them to remove them from their data base, if that doesn't work, also file a complaint with the BBB

Told me I have a civil suit against me and to call a number with a case file which I called and was hung up on 2x by a girl named Amy. Then she started screaming at me cause I wouldnt "Verify" my info by telling her my DOB and last 4 of social. She claimed she had it in front of her so I said tell me what you have and I'll tell you if it's right and she said "NO, IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!" I said "It does when you are looking for me!" We wnet back and forth and finally I said if you want ot contact me and have any info for me and since you have my info, you can mail it, otherwise leave me alone. She said it doesnt work that way and I hung up. Oh the company I called is Star Financial.

412-430-5549 - I've seen this number on our Caller ID before (R2J2 Company), usually from calls after our business is closed for the day, but there's never been a voice-mail left. Just now a woman named Kate just called my business from this same number. She asked 'May I speak to the owner?' Before I informed her that I am the owner, I inquired with 'May I ask who is calling please?' Her response was 'This is Kate from the bank.' Our business lines are, and have always been, on the DNC list. Plus, there is NO Kate working at the bank we use. We also have no prior business with this company that is calling us, nor do we need or require their more than likely fraudulent high interest rate loan services. After informing her that I am in fact the owner, she proceeds to ask me 'Are you the owner?' I could have sworn that I just informed her that I was the owner. Clearly she's a few marbles short in her sack. She then tries to go into a little spiel, and at that point I have to interrupt and inform her to 'Please remove our number from your calling list, and we will be reporting this call and any future calls from, your company as illegal and they will be deemed as harassment.' She then hung up. Guess it's time to file that FCC.gov formal complaint against them.

Tried to scam my wife who sells Thirty-One bags. Started communicting via email, but later used phone texts. Says 'she' is deaf and includes phone number as "Text Only" contact. Placed order, sent "check" for couple thousand more than actual order. Wants overage refunded via Western Union. Says name is Kate Michaels, but in one of her copy/paste paragraphs forgets to change name, which appears as 'sarah.' Throws Bible verses around like candy.
When I let this good, Bible-quoting, Christian "lady" know we were on to the scam, the final reply was:
"I laugh u a lot, u can only try but (I) can run ahead of the tracks. Go f*** ur sef (sic) and learn more"

Obviously this was a person, likely a man, with a poor command of English. An interesting twist was the scammer claimed to be a Christian deaf woman. I am just surprised she wasn't also a blind quadriplegic ...
