Calls to try to get you to click on a fake link for ransom of your computer. Caller says your computer is throwing out spam and they are Microsoft. They even know your name when they call. Hang up and call Microsoft direct yourself like I did and they will inform you of this scam. Ask them why they are calling when you use Apple computers.

Todays call was fun or ridiculous...claimed from Grant Office of US Goverment...wants money order of 210 to get 7500 but only as a security deposit...after telling him I had already researched this number and found it to be fake and reported he laughed, stayed on the line, carried on a few questions of nothing in particular (age, children...I look pretty good for 83000 yrs with 82000 kids...he says he's 39000...,so you see...it's a blatant scam...don't waste ur time...I researched the number before answering earlier in the day by chance. They'll also claim IRS nd threaten a lawsuit...scammers, in a class of their own...have a great day!

Got call today Jan. 21, 2015. Pretending to be IRS with last attempt to contact me, because IRS is filling suit against me(!!!!?????). Yea, right. IRS sends a letter to review your tax filing BEFORE any other action is take. Do these a..h.. think people are stupid?? (at least most are not). They want you to call 202.239.5054. If you do call them (incognito of course), a recorded Magic Jack voice ad tells you to subscribe. After the message is done, an official phone company says "your call cannot be complete as dial or the number has been disconnected"

These people are trying to gain access to your computer by having you download TEAMVIEWER and running it then asking you for the ID and Password for your computer so they can remote access your computer. They do this by telling you that your computer is sending out ERRORS....

There is a scam going on where a person posing as one of your customers calls to get their sales contact name, and right after they ask for the business owner name, which is likely to be their actual target. They will then call you back later or another day asking for the owner directly pretending once again to be one of your customers in an effort to sell some sort of advertizing. In our case it was another number and they introduced themselves as UC Santa Barbara given we are based in California. The person on this most recent call introduced himself as part of Tennessee Tech University but the phone number was in NY!
