On 11/05/2015 at 11:57 I received a call from a man who told me he wanted my Lawyers name and number. He said he was with the US Treasury Department in the Legal Affairs Division and that his name was Nick Anderson. When I told him I did not have an Attorney he said that I should get one but in the meantime, I could talk to an Investigator named Ben Campbell and I could reach him at 347-539-4270. I asked him why I needed an Attorney and he said because of the Legal Action being taken against me by the US Treasury. I said that no action is being taken against me and he questioned whether or not I had received my notice in the mail then he verified my address. He said he will see if an Investigator was available now and then transferred me to someone who said he was Inspector Ryan Coleman. He said that because I had gotten tax refunds, I am under investigation over the refunds. I stated I did not get a refund and he said, "OK never mind. Have a nice day." I said, "Wait before you hang up (he said, "Yes?") Will you take me off your list? I mean put me on your do not ...." The Inspector hung up.

Just received a message from Jeff Thomas of the so called Department of Legal Affairs. Same message as I'm reading on this post. I filed a complaint with the FCC. Some people are gullible and will fall for these antics. NOT ME!!

I just received the same exact message word for word from a Shawn Anderson and they had my first and last name from phone number 347-321-8018

Received a message on my Comcast home phone today from New York. Scared me at first, but according to everything online, must be a scam. I did not call back. The message was: This message is intended for (my maiden name). Hi, this is Nick Anderson (Very English name - very thick mid-East accent) with the Department of Legal Affairs and I was calling you in regards to a very important issue. This is a legal notification for you in regards to the enforcement action that has been started against your name. My number is 3479278986. I repeat it, 3479278986. If for any reason you are busy to call back, I would suggest you to have your retained attorney to do it for you. As delaying calling us might end up in a legal mess for you. I hope you will take this right and call me back. This is Adam Woods with the Department of Legal Affairs looking forward to speaking to you. Until then you have a blessed day and good by."

got a call today too recorded but this time i used the feature to block my number and called back they actually answered the 1st time saying they'd call back in like 20 minutes i went to tell him no and he hung up so i blocked my number again and called back go figure they remembered to put the recording on about legal affairs and to leave a message i left just about the same one they did lol ya i have nothing better to do but call back and give it back
