Got a call from them yesterday on my cell. I answered. They hung up. I Googled them, found this, and called them back.
Sure enough, belongs to RPM, P.O. Box 1548, Lynnwood, WA 98036. Also known as: Receivables Performance Management, 20816 44th Ave West, Lynnwood, WA 98036. I provide that for reasons shown below.
When I called back, I got a woman who tried to bluff me into paying. Told her I wasn't going to and I was going to sue them under Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. She wanted to tape me and I didn't care. I contacted my attorney yesterday afternoon and we are expecting to file suit against them this week.
What they did that violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act is at least two ways: The hang up and previously they had called me on my cell. I told them that I did not owe the debt, did not intend to pay anything, and not to call me any more.
