Ignoring this is an intentional second event. Call to avoid appearance before a federal magistrate or grand jury. Cooperate with us and help us to help you."

I received this same call, 3 times in a row with the same message as above and for each of the 3 calls from this "Steve Modern" with a heavy accent. The phone number on the caller ID is different than the previous post as (818)328-2962 (although on the voicemail he say's his callback number is (818)338-2962.

Steve Modern, a man with a thick accent, calls claiming to be calling about an imposement action from the US Treasury. He claims that he needs to be called back to avoid being called in front of a judge and charge with a Federal felony. He does not give a name for who he is calling for. I believe this is a scam.

"Hi. This message is a intended to contact you. My name is Steve Modern, and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action ..[unintelligible]... U. S. Treasury ...[unintelligible]... your participation. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 215-734-0226; I repeat, 215-734-0226. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us help you."
I called back using *67 to block my number. No one ever answered. I let it ring for over 5 minutes, they picked up and hung up.
