Said that it was my final notice and then they would be filling a lawsuit against us. Our accountant said it's a SCAM. IT'S would send a notification through the mail.

I got a call claiming to be IRS and that I owed them $4,750 for tax fraud and demanded that I pay them now and they could see that I have this amount in my account and I'm refusing to pay. when I asked for a name, I was told they are sending a police to my house for my arrest and the guy hung up.
He also had an Idian accent

Called stating I owe over 5,000 in back taxes from 2008 to 2013. Stated sent me repeated letters that no one was home to sign for them. Said will come to my house to arrest me and close my bank accounts. Asked what state they were calling from...said Illinois but phone number is Wisconsin. Asked to speak with a supervisor and both men spoke poor English with heavy accents.

Wife answered phone. Recording said IRS is suing her and asked her to 312-340-0255 back. Man answered "Internal revenue Service...".
Wife asked about lawsuit Man asked for Information. Wife put call on speaker phone and man hung up. I called back and asked if this is an IRS agent with Internal Revenue Service. Person said "Yes." I asked for an I. D Number, Person hung up. I called back and told them they messed with the wrong guy. The operator called out the name Xavier in the background. I reported this to IRS.

Got called twice this morning with a message saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I should call 509/228-3260 to find out information about the case file. I'm sure they would ask for my Social Security number to verify my identity if I called back.

Left message on voice mail. I called back Mr said I owe the IRS 5000 if I don't resolve I property will be seized and I will be incarcerated. I told him I have been audited my IRS they send a certified letter that has to be signed. I asked him to verify my last 4 of SSN he refused I asked him to verify DOB he refused. He then hung up on me

The caller left a message stating that if i didn't return the phone call, the irs was going to sue me.

This "company" called and left an automated message (sounds robot) stated, " for your retained attorneys record, to return this call the issue is time sensitive, my number 206-866-5789, do not disregard this message and do return the call. Now, if you do not return this call, and I don't hear from hear your attorney either deemly. Then, I can only do is wish you a good luck, as this situation totally involves on you." I called this number, after more than 5 rings, a woman with a heavy accent answered, and asked my name and telephone number. I asked her what is this all about. She said that I called the "IRS". If I know the IRS. I said I do, and I started asking questions, she keeps on asking my personal information, then, she said hold on, and cal disconnected. I'm not sure, if this call is legit, or someone is scamming somebody. Can anybody verify this?
