I think it was an IRS scam call. Claimed IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. No way that would be possible.

Called back, noisy call center and guy with heavy Asian accent answered. He asked why I was calling, I told him about the automated message I received. He asked why I was laughing, I told him because I know it's fake and to never call me again. He hung up. They don't notify you of lawsuits via automated message, they use certified mail.

Claimed I was being audited but did not provide my name or phone number. This was a robot as well. Just said I must call back and that this was my final notice. Caller ID showed I. Washington state but area code and prefix search indicates a New York number. All around fishy.

Called me twice today, Said it was an Officer Brown with the IRS and that some information on my tax return was fraudulent activity and that I should call right away.
I called and acted all concerned said I need to straighten it out asap.
He was a foreigner, Sounded like he was from India or somewhere close to it.
He asked me to hold while he pulls up my record, I asked him how do you know my SS# when he didn't ask for it yet (not that I was gonna give him my real one anyway) He then asked me if he was speaking to Carlos something or other, I said yes I'm Carlos and I thought he had a very sexy voice (LOL) and he replied he wasn't gay. I said neither am I mother fucker, don't call this number again you piece of shit scammer...he hung up before I pulled the phone away from my ear.
If you get a call from them have some fun with them, Sad to say but I'm sure some folks get taken by these thieves.
Be smart and NEVER give out any personal information to these scumbags

said I owe the irs 3532. if I don't pay going to get arrested! wanted me to go to cvs and get iTunes cards for 2000. and would direct me on what to do after I got the cards and gave them the numbers on the back...hilarious...said I had the cards and when asked for the numbers I cut loose on the dumb ass and really had fun making them think I had money for them...even called them back to play with their heads some more! gave them the police departments number to call me back cause my cell was going to die! i'm laughing my ass off....dumb ass scammers!!!! LOL LOL LOL!

I just received a call from this MIKE JOHNSON Bum... and hung up on him because i know the IRS will not contact you by phone....so i called him back and some other guy told me that he was on the other line busy...BIG SCAMMERS...so i hung up...now they are just calling and when i answer they hand up...IRS don't do that ... they will come pay you a visit if you are really in serious trouble with IRS..or contact you by mail...

This is a typical scam that is pulled around tax time. The IRS will NEVER call you. They correspond by mail. Don't fall for this.

Had 2 messages this morning from caller stating the IRS was going to sue me. Called back the number 202.375.1971. Background sounds like in crowded room with loud voices in background. Could barely hear. When she asked for my name - I said I would forward her phone number to my attorney. She hung up on me. SCAM!
