Said they were IRS, this was my final notice, and that the IRS is bringing a lawsuit against me. They don't even know who I am because it was a recorded message! If someone really wanted to bring a lawsuit, then shouldn't they verify WHO they are TALKING TO?
Our credit score is 800, so I'm wondering what they conjured up to sue me for

I received the same voicemail and returned the call. I wouldn't provide my name but they matched my name and address based on my cell number that they had left the message on. When I told them we had received no letters or notifications the caller became upset and said the IRS would come and arrest me. I said that was fine and hung up.
We have never received a real notification from the IRS. Definitely a scam, he wanted me to settle my claim for over $4,000 over the phone. Yeah... right.

202-386-0453 is a cell number and IS NOT FROM THE IRS. THE CALLER LEFT THIS NUMBER TELLING ME TO CALL IT BECAUSE THE IRS WAS BRINGING A LAWSUIT ON ME FOR FAILURE TO PAY TAXES. I HAVE THE CANCELLED CHECK THAT I SENT THE IRS WITH THE IRS NUMBER ON IT SHOWING IT WAS PAID TO THEM.
