Received multiple calls from this number, an electronic message was left each time, could barely make out what was said other than my Social Security Number and ignoring the calls would only hurt me. Because if I don't call back, they can't protect me!

When I called the number back to see what was going on, he answered the phone IRS. And said that due to a new law we had to pay it all at once and when I said that I did not have the money and that I was paying monthly he said that I would be arrested and could take it up with the court. Then when I said the IRS does not call they send letters he hung up on me.

CallHunter lists it as belonging to a collection agency, Matthew, Pierce & Lloyd from Vancouver WA. When I called back, a woman's voice with a German accent said to leave a message, no identification of the company. The caller ID was completely different, PAYPHONE, 585-335-9098. Seems like a SCAM!!!!

On 04/24/2015 at 5:17PM, or voice mail indicated that we had received a call from 723-590-6584. Caller was a female "Robo-Voice" which said that many tries had been made to contact us; “This is your Final Call.” Then said, “IRS in process of officially filing charges against” you/us (did not use our name). “You must call 281-694-4099 immediately”. We did not respond as we checked a number of other sites that indicated calls from these numbers were scams. In addition, the IRS site states that one will never be contacted by phone or e-mail by the IRS, without having sent one a letter clearly stating such may occur. We have filed an "IRS Impersonation Scam Report" at http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml and we'd urge anyone receiving a similar call to do the same!
