I received a voice message left on my machine today 11/21/14 think accent - Pretty much the same message as the one's I've read above and that I have been given a verbal notification and advises that I'm in a legal mess and if I choose not to return his call I should have my retained attorney contact him- he goes on with threats and ends with have a blessed day!!!

Caller asked for my husband, said he was calling from the Dept of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury, needed to speak with my husband about a pending law suit and to take his name and number down. I asked what this was in reference to and he said that he could not speak with third parties, but with the person asked for. Then he said to have a "blessed day." Big mistake. Big Scam. I called the Dept of the Treasury via the IRS and spoke with an agent. She explained that the Dept of the Treasury and the IRS DO NOT CALL ANYONE. They contact in writing and writing only. I was given a telephone number to call and complain about this call and I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning. Put this guy out of the scam business

A message was left for me from Jack stating that he was from the US Treasury department of legal affairs. He claimed that a legal action was being taken out against me and stated that before any legal action was to be taken, that I am to call back and speak to him about it. Others have reported the same from this number claiming that someone will show up to the home to arrest them if they didn't take care of the situation over the phone. Total scam...

Hope reading this helps someone else. Too bad there is nothing we can do to these scammers !!
