spoke with several 'officers' one had badge # 11931, named Ronnie Williams. All had accents but very American names!!! It actually sounded like the same guy just used a different name. My case #dc1928 was the same. Said I owed 3800 - same reason: for mistakes made on my tax forms but no specific. info. Arrest warrant issued and they would come pick me up within today. My husband called the IRS and reported. Even after the guy hung up because i wouldn't pay, they've called me back twice since our lovely chat this morning!

Telephone number 509 320-4039 has made numerous (in excess of 20) automated phone calls to my home Chandler, AZ) stating that IRS is filing a Lawsuit against me and advising me to call the IRS at tel. # 509 320-4039.
I have done a Google search of this number and found that numerous people have claim this is a fraud and trying to get money sent to them.
This should be investigated for Fraud and Deceptive Practices

A robotic voice claimed to be calling from the IRS. Said they are filing a lawsuit, that this is a final notice and to call 360-566-2902. I've never received notification from the IRS by mail of anything like this so this seems to be a scam. The 360 area code is the state of Washington on the west coast (and not Washington DC on the east coast).

My cousin received a similar phone call today. He told her she owed approximately $1800 in back taxes. Moreover, he told her the IRS had attempted to send out multiple notifications by certified mail, all of them sent back because she did not sign for them. He didn't even have the correct address. In addition, the call was placed to her cellular number, which is absurd, because she doesn't even use that number when she files her taxes; she uses her home phone number. He attempted to take a credit card payment as well, which no IRS agent will do, because they have a specific payment processors (http://www.irs.gov/uac/Pay-Taxes-by-Credit-or-Debit-Card). Told her to get his badge number and to call the IRS for verification, because I am fairly certain this is a scam. If you have had a similar problem, here is how you report it to the IRS: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Report-Phishing. It would also be good to report it to your state attorney general at the FTC.
