I just got another call from a number out of Ohio (216-282-0601) claiming to be the IRS - sounds like the same people who called me earlier today and told me there was an arrest warrant out for my husband and myself for back taxes owed.

spoke with several 'officers' one had badge # 11931, named Ronnie Williams. All had accents but very American names!!! It actually sounded like the same guy just used a different name. My case #dc1928 was the same. Said I owed 3800 - same reason: for mistakes made on my tax forms but no specific. info. Arrest warrant issued and they would come pick me up within today. My husband called the IRS and reported. Even after the guy hung up because i wouldn't pay, they've called me back twice since our lovely chat this morning!

I got a call - lots of pauses- saying IRS is filing a lawsuit against "you" and recites the number that called me. 202-790-4390 and tells me to immediately call it.
IRS doesn't call - they send stuff in the mail - always in writing.
Ignoring this one.

This was a recorded message in a female voice that said it was the "IRS" not Internal Revenue Service. Said they were calling as a final warning that the IRS was filing suit against (pause)"you" (but no name given) Said to call at once to avoid collections and fines being imposed. These idiots called five times in one day. Just for fun, I called back from a different phone, connection was bad and nobody answered. Obviously a robo call scam.

Wanted our phone number, ummm didn't you just call this number. Gave us his name, I don't remember it but is was something like Charles Brown. Hello - you are from India (or sure sounded like it). Lost of chatter in the background. Said his badge # is 6510 and he was in Washington. Told us we were being sued from the IRS for Tax Audit. "click"

Called 3 times, the last time was a final notice. Said I owed taxes from the years that I was a stay at home Mom. I asked for documents and I think she said the police would be here to arrest me before the documents could arrive. Could have been a guy, couldn't understand he\she very well. I told her that I would call back and he\she said I didn't need to and hung up. Is this some kind of scam?

When I called back, the guy that answered called me "Babe" and then proceeded to say that he really liked the sound of my voice and that I could be his girlfriend. Um, what? I've received 8 calls with the same automated voice saying that I was being sued by the IRS within 5 days.
Why can't this be stopped???
