Received text from 925-318-4825 in regard to an unspecified craigslist item I had for sale. My ad clearly stated the items were for sale as is, where is, no trades. The text is as follows, but with the last portion changed to x's to protect others.
"Hi, my name is Linda. if you're interested in trade, please check my ad: http://dayytton.ucoz.net/xxxxxxxxxx.htm + cash ?"
The link was not to Craig's list but looked like it and said it was a private listing, which Craig's list does not have. I was supposed to enter my user name and password for Craig's list to view the item they wanted to trade. The link was on a free web hosting/developer site located in Russia. I did not enter any information since that would give them free access to my account on Craig's List and access to any personal information there. Also the area code of the number is in California and I am in Wisconsin, so it is unlikely that they would pick up the unspecified item here. They were fishing for information to use for wrongfull purposes. Please be aware of scams such as this.

Checked the United Healthcare site and it's not one of their phone numbers.

SCAMMERS from Card Services...NEWEST NUMBER! they don't the companies address or refuse to give you. Last week they called from a different number... Linda said to give them a call...they love made up credit card information, the high pitched whistles, funny recordings or anything else you want to toss their way...Make sure you use *67606-755-0236 or *67989-623-6505 to make the calls...Enjoy.

Recording left message on my voice mail EVERY DAY for the past week requesting a return call to 866-953-7906 regarding a "Capital One business proposition", by someone named "Linda". I did call the number back after a week of this because it was an annoyance, and I got a recording asking me to leave my account number and social security number. Yes, very obviously a scam. Please people - NEVER ever give out your social security information over the phone.

Called my cell phone saying she was trying to reach Rhonda Corley, her name is Linda and she is the scheduler for Leon County. Does not know what I have to appear for but I have to appear. Says her ID is 850-906 (which ironiccaly is the area and first 3 digits of my home land line), and she said to call her at 855-244-7206. I know if this was truly a call from someone with the County having to do with scheduling for the Court it would not be done by a telephone call, there would be a Subpoena served by an officer of the Court. I've worked in the legal field for over 30 years, so whoever this idiot is does not know anything about the law. I hope you find them.

This Indian woman called telling me that my Windows computer was infected with a virus from international websites. She could show me where the error messages were coming from I just needed to start my computer and she would guide me through. She couldn't tell me how to do it, she had to instruct me as I did it. She gave me the phone number and web address www.ITSolutionUSA.net. She couldn't convince me she knew what was going on when she couldn't give me the correct information about how to access Windows from my keyboard. I told her I wasn't interested in whatever she was trying to do to my computer or sell me and I hung up.
