The caller ID stated Charles Snyder with the number shown. Left no message. I looked up the phone number and it shows as a local photographer with the same name but based in a nearby state, no local phone number. When I called back the phone had music and then was picked up by someone who identified the company as Frontline Stratgeies. Sounds like a collection agency, but I don't have any debts. They refused to state their business unless I identified myself. I reported them to the DNC list as abill collector.

Contacted me through listing on CraigsList (car for sale). I was suspicious from the start because (s)he only communicated via text message. Said they were sending the money via PayPal and an extra $1000 for the shipping/delivery company that would pick up the car. I received an email from "Paypal" that was obviously a fake. Im playing a long with them right now. I'm guessing they are going to ask me to forward $1000 via Paypal or some other method to their "agent." I was correct. I just received an email on how to complete the transaction by sending $1000 to someone via Western Union.

I got 3 calls within 4 hours from 347-435-1808 at my work! The 1sttime he left a message with my co-worker to return their call ASAP ext#143, Mike. So I called 'Mike' back, 1st off, I could barely understand what he was saying due to his heavy Indian accent but the gist was, he's calling from Dept. Of Justice & I'm being investigated for check fraud or something which he says is a Federal Offense. I asked, with surprise, "so you're asking me for money?, how much money are you asking of me?" to which 'Mike' got very agitated & acted offended, saying "I'm an agent with Dept Of Justice & you're trying to bribe me with money?" LOL - SERIOUSLY - then he said "You must pay us $5000.00 u.s. dollars within the next 20 minutes or you will be prosecuted at criminal court", then he hung up, wtf??? I was worried for a bit until I googled the # from caller i.d. & saw it was a scam so when another guy called whithin 1 hour of the original conversation I told him to stop harrasing me at work or I will report them to the police, the other guy freaked out & started yelling "I am the Fu**ing police" and Fu**ing this & that so I hung up. Thank god my work records every call. If these bastards call me again I will be going to the police station & filing a report. These calls took time out of my work & threatened me with incarciration....this is wrong on so many levels!!!!

If your family member is caught up with this scammer, do everything in your power to break the hold this guy (Mike) gets on these clueless people. Have them declared incompetant so they cannot send him anymore money. He has them send multiple checks to various people in the US promising millions in sweepstakes winnings. These checks are to pay for taxes owed on the winnings. Nothing is sent directly to "Mike". He is a smooth talker who could care less about the people he is stealing from. He encourages people to do reverse mortgages or just a new mortgage on a mortgage free property. He drains savings accounts, money markets, CD's, everything!!! He knows all the tricks and instructs these people on stories to tell their families and bankers. Beware!!!!

Someone called from the 954 number saying I had won a trip to orlando, another to Hawaii, AND even a third one! A cruise to Bahamas. Everything for 5 persons. Then he transferred me to someone else who -after tons of pleasantries and a friendly tone of voice- asked for my credit card to place a charge for $498 dollars - taxes and admin fees he said - everything else was free for having won a contest and filled a ticket at a super computer show (he could not say when or what city was that show at). He gave me his 866-456-6191 phone number for questions in the future. After I told him I wouldn't give him my credit card, he got all upset, said "Ok then" and hung up on me! What a scam!!
