Caller indicated that she was from the Department of Legal Affairs and told me that my daughter had a case pending against her and that if she didn't respond immediately her case would go to court within 24 hours. Rachel claimed that multiple notices had been mailed to my daughter. I protested that none were received. When I asked for the case number of the legal action she said she couldn't give it to me. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she responded, "oh, nonononono. Nonononono." I said, "You can and you will let me speak to your supervisor." She hung up. "Rachel" spoke with a heavy Asian accent and at times her syntax was unintelligible. At others it appeared she did not understand even simple English. My daughter spoke with Rachel's colleagu, Rober,t in a subsequent call and he said the "legal action" would not proceed if my daughter agreed to fund a "voucher." My daughter refused and Rachel's colleague said the police would be showing up in an hour to arrest her.

Called for my husband, I called back asking what this was about, told me that they were going to have my husband arrested if he doesn't call them back. Yeah right - we have paid more than our fair share of taxes -total scam. I am reporting them to the actual US Dept of Treasury.

I have received numerous calls from this number June appeared to be a machine calling me about a problem with IRS and said I must call immediately and have a blessed day.
David called (left message on machine) with heavy accent barely remembered what company he supposedly was with and instructed us to have our attorney contact them or they were contact an attorney couldn't understand...anyhow said we needed to call them immediately and have a blessed day. David then called next morning I answered he asked for me I asked who he was he identified himself he again verified I was who I am and I wouldn't verify just asked him what company he was with he identified himself yet again and then state Dept of Legal Affairs I immediately said "this is a scam remove my number" he tried to tell me it wasn't I hung up!

Said I hadn't paid taxes and that they were contacting my attorney. They wouldn't tell me any details of the "case." They also called my mom asking for me. Ended call with "have a blessed day" so it probably wasn't the U.S. government. Obvious scam.

Woman with heavy accent called wanting to talk to my lawyer. I told her I didn't have one. She asked me if I received a letter, and I told her no. She told me I was in trouble with the Treasury Dept. I said Okay. She told me to write down and call the number she provided, but I didn't bother.
It's this kind of stuff that makes me want to cut my land line.
