Called my parents and left a voicemail along these lines: "My name is Dennis Gray trying to reach you regarding the possibility of being indicted by the US Treasury. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid being seen by a magistrate judge or federal jury for a federal criminal offense. Please contact me at 682-582-8087 and help me to help you."
I reported it to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA)but it looks like he changes numbers every few months.

First, this person called at 8:17 am on a Saturday. This is a day that most people get to sleep-in; how dare this person do that!
The message was that if "you" did not call back, "you" would be facing enforcement action for a federal criminal offense of the US Treasury and could automatically be forced to appear before a magistrate judge. Next time, keep the message to yourself and stay off the phone!

Recorded call indicating trying to reach me (no identifying name/SSN/address/DOB or anything given to indicate they knew WHO they were calling. Stated calling from the IRS, federal government and trying to avoid the call would be construed as a violation of the law or some such nonsense. Attempt to call back and "not accepting calls". I'm pretty sure any time I've been contacted by a government agency (I've had contact with the IRS before) I've been able to contact them directly, not via a third party. Avoid this scam!

Left message "this message is intended to contact you" - did not identify who they were intending to call. Something about an action executed by the US Treasury, etc. wanting me to call so I can let them help me. I have gotten calls from Dennis Gray with a heavy foreign accent before from other area codes and numbers. It is a scam! If someone wanted to seriously collect a debt or threatening any court action, it would be IN WRITING and come via certified mail or other means.
