A guy who sounded maybe Latino or Italian American called. Call my mobile phone number and asked if he could speak to me by my first name. He asked me I speak to "blank". I responded with, "This is she", and then he hung up. Tried to dial back got a Robo message saying, "No one is available to take your call at this moment. Goodbye."

I assume they are a collection agency, because they are looking for someone named "Daisy Robsauwe" (spelling?) We have gotten calls for her before from other debt collectors. These guys starting calling us for the past two weeks. I told them no one named Daisy is at this number, and that we have had this number for TWO YEARS, and they tell me they will remove our number from their list. Twenty minutes to an hour later, I am getting calls again. This happens daily, from 10 am to 4 pm. I have had to unplug my phone since my answering machine is broken and I can't screen the calls anymore.

Caller had thick African accent. Clearly was not Indian. Spoke in slow, purposeful, rudimentary English. Calling to speak with the household computer owner. Assumed I was the owner of our computer. Knowing there are a growing number of phishing and other schemes originiating from that region of the world, I responded, "Yes, I am the owner, but I'm not going to talk to you, Honey. Sorry. Have a good day. Goodbye." I promptly hung up. They are likely looking to see if I'll answer the phone. Won't answer if there is a next time.

Called my daughter's phone as well as my phone leaving a threatening message to serve me papers on Friday because of some "legal claim" they had against me. They provided a claim number so I called the phone number and some lady wanted me to verify the last four digits of my SS# and I told her NO WAY! I pressed 1 to be connected to an associate and was put into a queue.
Once I had a live person, I asked what company they were affiliated with and was immediately disconnected.
Call did not drop - associate hung up on me. Makes me think this is some sort of scam.

I hit 1 to tell them this was a business line and we do not have a credit card. I then told them to remove us from the list. They hung up on me. When i tried to call back a recording answered saying this number was no longer in service. Total scammers.

Comments on other sites say that this is someone who offers to reduce interest rates on credit cards. Sounds like a scam, especially since I never pay interest as I always pay my debts in full and promptly.
