This is a scam. Please do not fall for it. The message left was from a Steve Martin (yeah, sure) and said he was calling about "an action executed by the U.S. Treasury" and that failure to call back "would result in a hearing before a magistrate judge or grand jury for a criminal offense." As it was a recording, he never states who he is calling for. Hopefully people know that the government doesn't work that way and won't contact you in this manner. This scammer knows little about the legal system in America. Although I can see right through the call and scam, I don't know if everyone can. On another website it says this is from a cell phone in India. I don't normally leave reviews or complaints about these kinds of scams, but thought it might serve as a warning to someone else.

This person had a thick accent (I think from India). Does not mention anyone by name, just threatens Federal prosecution. I called the number back which shows as a number from Glendale, CA, and it is a recorded message about Magic Jack and tells me that the number (818-627-8306) has not been assigned to anyone.
