The man called my job, house and mom's house said he was a locator named Frank Benson, gave me some bs number to call that wasn't in service (day1). Got another call from Frank asking if I called the number I told him know and we basically went back and forth because he didn't want to give me any identifying information(day2). I hung up on him and called the number, gave them the claim number, he began asking me to verify my social, address, etc I told him his info was wrong and asked why he was calling and he gave me some poo about not being able to tell me about the claim unless I gave him identifying information so I told him not to call me anymore. Period. I am very uneasy about this as they had identifying information on me and I am not sure what to do.

The gentlemen said he was a locator, even though we are listed and haven't moved or changed jobs. He said he was going to serve him papers and that he would need to appear in court within a few days to face allegations of fraud. They then gave me this number to call and I spoke to Tom. I gave him the reference number and told me that if we did not pay the money owed to this company... never heard of them.... then my husband would be served at work or at home. I looked up Phillips and Roth Law firm and could not find it. So I called back and got the address... 1449 Ridge Road Lackawanna, NY 14218. I looked it up and no lawyers with the name Philips and Roth or Phillips and Roth was listed in the attorney data base for that area. I will keep you updated as we go through the process. My husband said it is a scare tactic scam and to ignore it. So I will let you know. Just don't know how I would have gotten a bill from someone we never heard of.

I have been receiving calls from this number for over a month. I honestly do not know how they came upon my number. I mention that I have been receiving these calls for more than one month because as a caveat of the do not call list, when one allows a vendor to solicit business by cold calling, any allowance made to the DNC only lasts 30 days. Because today is Friday, and I am feeling especially patient I sat through the entire spiel. I have the name of both the marketing firm as well as the security firm with which they paired me. They are as follows:

Tom wants to give me $50 to test drive a car. I told Tom to bring the car to my house and I would give hime $50. I may take Tom up on his offer and run the car into a ditch and send Tom the bill. Tom doesn't know who he is dealing with and if I were Tom, I would worry about getting a call from me. Tom is insistent, annoying and illegal. Is there a way to prosecute for DO NOT CALL violators?
